On my first day as I set my foot into their room as their Values Teacher, I right away noticed a small frail boy sitting at the back. According to him, his name is Leonard.
Days, weeks, months quickly passed by. Still my memory about Leonard remains. Why?
Because of my admiration for him. Never did he absent himself in my class.
I want to give him a resounding claps for his 100% attendance. One time he told me that I am his favorite teacher and that he loves my subject and thereby thanked me for my kindness to him in all ways. I just pat his shoulder and said, “It’s okay, anak. You are welcome.”
Do you know that he walks to and pro to Bani? It’s a far place from school. He just have a few pesos on hand as his “baon” for that day. At times. Egg and rice will do for his lunch.
He is so friendly, very respectful, very kind and helpful. But most importantly, he is a God-fearing boy!
Amazing how the Lord works for is life. One day, success will come to this boy named Leonard.
