Staying away from the traditional means, a new classroom manager is what the school community needs today. In addition, the 21^st century teacher must provide a very productive environment where the students can develop their utmost skills and full potentials.

 

The new classroom managers are highly anticipated to meet the roles of the 21^st century teachers in the modern century classroom. To wit:

 

Be more of a facilitator not a mere lecturer.  The student must play an active part in his learning and the teacher must serve as a guide.  He/she is more of a facilitator of learning than a lecturer.  He/she assists the student to think critically and learn by doing and acts as a resource person while the student discovers and masters new concepts.

 

Be adept with technology. A modern teacher must utilize all advantages of the technological means in order to deliver the subject more efficiently and effectively.  This will further enhance learning and will make the activities be more engaging.

 

Be more encouraging.  A modern teacher persuades the learners to meet more challenging roles and activities.  Whether in school or in inter-school competitions, a modern teacher must stimulate his/her student to soar and be even greater.

 

Be adaptive.  A modern teacher can deal with and educate diverse learners.  He/she must make it sure that all students understand the concepts.  Apply proper and suitable approaches that will be instrumental in order for the students to learn at a fast pace and in the most effective way. Adjust to the needs of the learners and apply necessary measures.

 

Be an example of mutual respect.  The character of a modern teacher must be worth emulating.   He/she is an epitome of respect and reverence.  The teacher also respects the opinions of the learners and must value their genuine worth.

 

Be a true performer.  A modern teacher must be a dynamic individual in pursuing all the duties and responsibilities of a real educator.  He/she does his job efficiently and effectively for the sake of the learners.

                Be an advocate of collaborative learning.  A modern teacher must lead the students to combine all their ideas in order to achieve better learning.  He/she must support the consolidation of great minds in attaining the real sense of education which is imparting knowledge.

 

            To be distinguished as a modern educator, it is much better if you will be associated with the roles of the 21^st century teacher.
