Family is the smallest unit of society but the most important place where the personality of a child is being honed.The role of the parents is very necessary for the development of a child’s personality.

        In most cases,a child with a non-working mother is very lucky to have his mother around to guide and discipline him as he face different  experiences in the environment where he is living.His parents must guide him to conform to the standard of right behavior and to posses the right mental and emotional attitude of an individual.

       A child with his mother at his side and has an open communication with his both parents most probably will become a responsible child who would be able to adapt to his environment because he is already trained inside their house.The community where the child belongs will benefit from what he will become as he grows older.For a child to be prepared to deal with other members of society when he steps out of their house,he must need the guidance and discipline of his both parents.

       When the time comes that the child will be sent to school to study,he would be able to adjust to the people around him in school easily because he was already guided by his parents on how to deal with other people rather than a child whose parents weren’t able to discipline their child because both parents are working and don’t have enough time to spend with their children.Those students whose parents are busy on their jobs or businesses would probably be those who are troublesome,hard-headed,with bad records in Guidance Office,have problem with attendance and cutting classes which will result in being failed in class.

       Most of the time,those students who came from a broken family or with separated parents are the problem-students.Simply because they lack attention,guidance,discipline and love from their parents.It is very important for a child to have his parents around him so that he will be guided accordingly.The parents should monitor what is happening to their child in a daily basis as much as possible.

       The parents are the role model of a child therefore they must be responsible enough in raising their own child.Their priority must be the welfare of the child as parents and they must do their part so that the child will be able to discover and develop his values and potentials which will help him succeed in the future.
