The single most important factor in determining the quality of the education a child receives is the quality of his teacher. Teaching is one of the most complicated jobs nowadays. It demands broad knowledge of subject matter, curriculum, and standards; enthusiasm, a caring attitude, and a love of learning; knowledge of discipline and classroom management techniques; a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. With all these qualities required, it’s no wonder that it’s hard to find a great teacher.
Being a teacher, comes the big expectation from your surroundings, your colleagues, superior, parents and students. Having been teaching for more than 4 years now, still I consider myself as a beginner. As I look back at the years of my teaching services, there were no instances that I haven’t learned something useful. Being a teacher, does not mean no mistakes at all.
Being a teacher is a never ending learning. Every day is a great opportunity to becoming a better teacher. Your experiences makes you a better one. What most important is that being able to reflect on your experiences and use it to perform well on the following school year as what is expected from you.
