For once in your life, have you ever experienced not achieving the dream, the plan or the goal that you want? Maybe it happened to you once or twice.

Not achieving your dream, plan or goal may be a bit frustrating. It will either make you lose your enthusiasm or it will push you to work harder. Either way, here are some tips that may be helpful to you in achieving your goal or plan:

  1. Know your goal or plan. May it be big or small, write your goal and know in your heart that you really want to fulfill it.
  1. Ask yourself: is it realistic? It will be hard for you to achieve a goal or a plan that is not realistic. You might want to check your goal or plan if it can happen even if it takes time.
  1. Set a time frame. Will it be a long term goal or a short term goal? You have to set a time frame on how long you want your goal or plan to happen. In case you want it sooner, you might have to take an extra effort to achieve it.
  1. Know your strengths. Write your strengths that may be helpful to you in achieving your goal or plan. You can also write people whom you think might be helpful to you, whom will make you fulfill you goal or plan easier.
  1. Know your weaknesses. After knowing your strengths, you might also want to check what characteristic you have that might be a hindrance or will take you a lot of time for you to achieve your goal or plan. Even some people too!

Sometimes it is a lot easier to achieve something that we want when we know what we really want and what we are going to do to achieve it. If that does not happen, it may not be what God really wants for us. Always remember Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails”.
