Nowadays most of the youth are taking white collar job courses like engineering, medicine, information technology and others but they did not notice that there is a practical course which is advantageous to the nation.

The following are the advantages of agriculture when it is considered as a preference course of an individual:

1. It is practical.  Agricultural in its simplest sense is practical for you are dealing with the things that people consume every day.
2. It is economical. It is economical for you don’t need a high tuition in taking this course and the materials are found anywhere.
3. It is serving.  As an agriculturist, you are not only working for yourself but you are also serving the people in the community and even elsewhere.
4. It covers a lot of areas. Agriculture does not only involve plants but also other consumable products which are parts of our basic needs.
5. It yields more income. There is money in agriculture.  Once given the right opportunity and enough capital you will be able to learn a lot.
6. It leads you to a progressive life.  Agriculture makes a better life.  If an agriculturist has achieved a lot of outstanding accomplishments in this field a better and progressive life will be attained.
7. It makes you a manager of yourself.  If you are an agriculturist, you are the boss of yourself.  You will manage your own properties and you will have the freedom to execute your plans and goals.
8. It near to your home.  Having your own land once you are an agriculturist will not necessitate you to be away from home.  Even in the Philippines you can have a better and fruitful life.

Agriculture is here to stay and needs to be savored.
