Public servant is a public trust, being a leader one should follow some rules and these are the following rules;
- Set a Goal – The first thing that should be done by school manager. Prioritize what you need and go for it.
- Project a good Image – This is the easiest thing to do but the hardest to maintain. One must have a good PR on how to set a good example. A school head should be morally, intellectually and spiritually upright in order to achieve success.
- Be a Situational Leader – The school head must be a flexible leader.
- Accept short comings – As you progress in your work, your expectations may not suit the actual results. We should learn from our mistakes, so we can learn from our short comings also. Do not be afraid to face defeat; next time you will win the game.
- Revise the Work – If the desired result did not suit the goal you have to go over the aim or plan again, because there might be some factors which were overload. However, if you have attained your objective, you have to review the work to avoid making the same mistakes in the future.
- Keep the Momentum – There is a saying which runs this way, “Strike while the iron is still hot”. This is applicable to our job, because having a lull while you are at your peak of performance can produce disastrous results. They may interpret it as “ningas cogon”.
- Strive for Excellence – Set your eyes on the horizon, meaning aim for the top.
- Wise decision maker – Decide for the best of everyone not for personal interest.
