Upon I, being officially hired in a public school by virtue of my CSC Appointment, In realm, I am now a teacher in my own capacity who engages in a classroom teaching in any grade level of instruction and on a full time basis. (Magna Carta for Public School Teachers) Four long years of handling the tides of studying various theories and concepts in the teaching profession may sometimes mean a struggle between life and death to other. And a silver lining upon graduation to most of the aspirant teachers.
True enough that I am their fountain of knowledge, setting life situations on which they can effectively learn and thereby be able to apply such learning in their daily undertakings, so what’s next?
Question…. What is expected of me then?
First, come to class really prepare: one cardinal rule which an effective teacher must do. Secondly, exude the aura of positivity in class; it will do well to everyone. Thirdly, hold high expectations from your learners. Motivate them to think more beyond, it will “hold waters’. Fourthly, exudes in you as their teacher the concept of creativity. It will inspire them to think more and act more. Fifthly, be fair to everyone. Practice equality and equity, it’s an important trait for you to have. And in finality, be compassionate, empathize with them. Be kind and understanding as the situation calls for it, be supportive with their little steps, and don’t be bossy and judgmental.
Remember, the best way to your students’ head, is through their hearts!
Thank you self for these thoughts!
