You may have read these lines from the famous adage of an anonymous writer which states,” Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today, because if you enjoy it today, you can do it again.” These are classic lines which clearly explains that there are individuals who put off doing something until they” have the time.”
In our organization, the Department of Education, we cannot deny the fact that if we do not accomplish an assigned task on time, understandably, different tasks will accumulate. Remember, no matter how talented you are, if you cram on doing a long-overdue task, then the result will be a half-baked product.
As a teacher, you are considered to be a responsible individual, you know yourself well—your talents, attitudes, capabilities, and potentials. You know that whatever tasks that come along, you can accomplish it, whether it deals with reports about students, about teachers or about different subject areas or even about other matters. As Cervantes, a famous writer puts it,” in the streets of “By and By,” one arrives at the house of “Never” be reminded that every teacher desires promotion, acknowledgment, but there are times, when no matter how one tries, she just can’t hold it in her hand. Promotion is so elusive that she wonders whether she is destined for it or not.
Success in an organization is for every employee, not just for a favored few. But then, one must strive to accomplish the tasks that are needed to be accomplished. You have for it. The synonym of success is doing, accomplishing; thus, forget the phrases” by and by,” “ Manana habit”, and procrastination syndrome., have more actions, These are the culprits behind some of the failures in life.. If you can do the assigned task, and you think this is already enough, strive more to perfect your craft. As a teacher, strive to improve if not to perfect your craft. As Tapalla stresses, to do a task efficiently and effectively, develop initiative. Get rid of indifference. This breeds passivity, while initiative spawns not only creativity, but productivity as well.
