Bataan School of Fisheries is growing not only in their teaching but also in other aspect example of that is the fish/food processing. The facility is improved and has more efficient equipment used in processing fish such as Bottle Labeling Machine, Can Sealer, Brix Refractometer, Digital Weighing Scale, Vacuum Sealing Machine, Gas Range Oven, impulse Foot Sealer and because of that it become Assessment Center for Fish/food Processing. This equipment is given by JICA or Japan International Cooperation Agency to the school.

Today, teachers and students are continue to study and develop variety of products derive from fish such as Fish Embutido, Fish Longganisa, Fish Kropek, smoke fish and many more to promote the fish/food processing industry and to enhance the skill of their students.

Teachers of Bataan School of Fisheries focus on teaching the students on these particular activities in food/fish processing:

  1. the preservation of foods by (a) modern methods such as refrigeration, canning and (b) traditional methods such as drying, salting, smoking and fermentation; (2) the development of protein – rich foods; (3) food additives and other.

And from being a simple fish processing center, Bataan School of fisheries is looking forward to become one of the leaders of food/fish processing in Bataan because of their quality processed product.
