As time passes in the digital age, many aspects of our past become lost in the middle of the hectic routines of the present. However, there are some modest sites that have the capacity to elicit a flood of memories, bringing us back to happier times and simpler times. Olongapo City National High School Class of 1971 donated five benches situated at the Mathematics Garden enabling learners to make meaningful high school life memories.

These benches remain silently watching the passing of time, innumerable talks, laughter, tears, and calm contemplation. It has become a physical representation of collective memory, a place where memories collide, and stories connect. Finding a moment of silence amid modern life can be difficult, these benches provide a therapeutic retreat from the rigors of daily life. These serve as an outlet for forgiveness and healing in addition to personal reflection. Learners are frequently drawn into conversations that lead to mutual understanding and empathy. It becomes a safe area for learners to share their grief, joy, and personal challenges, and build connections with other learners.

Benches of Memories serve as a touching reminder of the value of simplicity and human connection in a world where technical developments appear to move at breakneck speed. It contains the collective memories of generations, serving as a light of hope for the future. So, the next time you pass by these seats, take a moment to halt, breathe, and let your memories be woven into the larger tapestry of humanity.
