K to 12 Program is the newly enhanced basic curriculum as introduced by the Department of Education.  It has a lot of benefits most especially to the Filipino learners.  These benefits are the following:

1. Basically, it will yield globally competitive graduates or individuals.  It is actually composed of 12 years in basic education.  Moreover, it is in compliance with the international standards such as the Washington Accord and Bologna Accord.   K to 12 will produce more competent workers for better global undertakings.
2. Learners will grasp the lessons more easily.  The newly improved curriculum is made easier since the subjects, knowledge and skills are not congested.  The learners will be given ample time to study leading to better comprehension and learning.In line with this, the usage of mother tongue will be much helpful to the teachers and learners.  Understanding of basic concepts will be much easier.
3. Students will have a choice to continue their aspirations, dreams and passions in life.The K to 12 Program is learner-centered.  The learners will be allowed to select their specializations that they want.  They will grow with their full potential as the center of the teaching-learning process.  In addition, they will be trained and honed in accordance with their inclined talents and skills.

1. Students will be saving tuition fees in college.  There are subjects which will be taken in the Grade 11 and 12 because these levels are just like a two-year college education.  The repetition or redundancy of subjects will be avoided.  The K to 12 graduates are entitled to training certifications which will be useful in finding jobs.  It means that the graduates of this program will have much better chance of attaining better opportunities.

1. It will create more jobs, diminish unemployment and help make the country progressive.  With the strengthened manpower due to early trainings to be brought by the program, the chances for much better and matched jobs will prevail.  In doing such, the realization of better economy and progressive country will be evident.

The so called K to 12 Program not only provides quality education but it will yield better graduates to help build a nation and to achieve progress.  It will be instrumental to produce much competent and world-class people.
