Brigada Eskwela also known as the Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan, is a nationwide voluntary effort of teachers, parents, students, community members, and other organizations to do minor repairs and clean-ups on their schools in preparation for the start of the school year. It started as early as 2003, as proposed by former Department of Education Secretary Jesli Lapus.

              Both Public and Private Schools participated in the said activity wherein concerned parents, volunteers help the school on cleaning the surroundings, rooms as well as repairing and repainting chairs, tables, windows, walls and ceiling. So when classes start on June 13, everything is already prepared.

              This year theme is “Tayo Para sa Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos at Handa, Mula Kindergarten Hanggang Senior High School.” Today’s activity started with a kicked off program participated by parents, teachers and pupils and ended by starting cleaning each school.
