“It takes a community to educate a child.”
In its effort to bring the Adopt-A-School Program to the community level and maximize civil participation and utilize local resources to improve the public schools, the Department of Education (DepEd) launched the National Schools Maintenance Week, dubbed as brigade Eskwela.
In the spirit of “bayanihan”, the different stakeholders of the educational system worked hand in hand in preparing the schools nationwide before its opening in June.
Limay National High School was awarded as Best Implementer of brigade Eskwela 2008 (National Level) last year in Cebu International Convention Center.
Guided with the mission and vision to achieve quality and excellence in education, the academic family of Limay National High School subscribed to the fact that the education of the Limayan youth is everybody’s concern. It is true that the government is mandated to provide free and quality education but the community and the private sector also play vital roles as major stakeholders of the educational system to ensure that every Limayan youth go to school, remain in school and learn in school. It is a great task for each stakeholder.
