Covid-19 pandemic has rapidly affected our day-to-day life, businesses, disrupted the world trade and movements. Economy of the world deteriorates, and it seems like everyone has drastically affected. However, as they say, we should always look at the bright side of the situation even at the most difficult one. Here are some of the positive effects brought about by Covid-19 pandemic.
- Stronger family relationship. One of these is that we were able to have a chance to be with our family and had a chance to dig our foundation because of almost two-year lockdown. When the pandemic started and lockdowns had been implemented where schools, business establishments, and companies were forced to shut – working parents were instructed to stay at home together with their children to stop the spread of the virus.
- Technological skills. People learned to maximize the use of the technology. It played a huge role to everyone since this is the only channel that we can make the world go round.
- The government had been awakened that they should be more vigilant in preparation when a pandemic occurs. The government should invest in allotting funds in emergency like this. As an individual, this enlightened us that we need to be more ready during unexpectable situation.
- Better distance learning offerings. The Department of Education strengthens its distance learning modality that opens new opportunity to underprivilege students to go back to study. Balik Aral enrollees doubled which includes pregnant women and working youth.
- Adapting to new ways of stress management. Mental health has been given importance in this time of pandemic where many individuals were affected by this pandemic mentally. Many doctors and support system groups offer help to those who need help in the middle of crisis.
These are some of the positive effects of this nightmare because of Covid-19 pandemic. In is true that in times of crisis we will learn to stand stronger and be better to face the new chapter of our life. As a Filipino, we are very blessed for we know to be resilient and look at the bright side even in the darkest days.
