Due to the fact that success in life does not always rely on academics, character education is an important part in studies.  Parents and educators surely want nothing more than for the children to grow up into well-mannered individuals and give proper respect to other people.

It is true that the main reason that’s why children are enrolled to a school is to learn about academic subject like English, Math, and Science and so on, but these are not he only things that children need to learn if they ever want to become successful in the real world.  Character education gives them the necessary tools that they will be using more often than those that they learn from other subjects.

Character education teaches children to value ethical choices and equips them with the tools necessary to recognize those choices.  Character education is taught in elementary classrooms through structured, school wide programs and through the efforts of individual teachers.  There is no single best method to address character education.  Teachers select one or more techniques to introduce ethical principles to their pupils.

The parents are not only ones that need to be concerned in developing a pupil’s character, the school and community should also have roles in this.  These days, with some families, the children are often left alone with no one to guide them.  This is why schools need to implement character education so that the pupils know the correct path they should walk on.

Schools play an important role in the formation of pupil’s character as a driving force to facilitate its development. That is why it is enough to instill good values to them but at the same time. Teachers should be the role models in building children’s character.
