Communication gap between teachers and principal normally exists in a school community. This gap sometimes gives too much trouble and worries on the part of the principal.
One best solutions to this problem, the principal should, in one way or another, accord importance and attention to faculty and staff. In order to do this, communication gap between teachers and the principal must be overcome. Consulting the teachers about how things should be done in the school is a step in opening the line of communication.
Indeed, a principal should exercise democracy when raising school issue and concerns-gesture that will have great impact on teachers, make their role more defined and allow their voices to be known and heard.
Principal must take advantage of weekly meetings as a time for open discussions and not for show of denomination and authority. Inevitably, this action will lead to free exchange of ideas, feelings and interactions as well as healthy argument. Freedom of expression will develop the capability of teachers to decide and recognize important matters that encapsulate the topic. More, importantly, it provide an impetus for leadership.
Really, building relationship with teachers is somehow complicated, after all the principal needs to be intellectually open to such relationship.
