Burned Out

Teaching is a demanding, cognitive task, but very few people outside the profession really understand how complex and draining the job is. Pressure has worsened. The pressure has moved from incredible to ridiculous to ludicrous.  More paperwork, more responsibility, exploring new learning approaches, revision sessions, heavy workload, poor pupil behavior, difficult parents, observing lessons and…


Teaching is a demanding, cognitive task, but very few people outside the profession really understand how complex and draining the job is. Pressure has worsened. The pressure has moved from incredible to ridiculous to ludicrous.  More paperwork, more responsibility, exploring new learning approaches, revision sessions, heavy workload, poor pupil behavior, difficult parents, observing lessons and being observed are only few of the stressful work  of a teacher.

Overall,  teachers get out early, it took them early retirement. Teachers are pale, unhealthy and so exhausted emotionally and mentally. More over, health had been poor.  Teachers burned out and yet still felt not working hard enough.
