Are you a Math teacher desiring to write novels but hesitating to make that career switch… Are you a bored and stuck in a dead-end job… Do you yearn for something more…. When will you start your dreams……

Start by taking the first step NOW.. As the old saying goes, “ A journey  of a thousand miles begins with the first step..”  Invest a few minutes to an hour a day to build your dreams. A little something every now and then builds the knowledge or skill.

Overcome your insecurities or fears of failure—-failure is an integral part of an important step in the learning process. The best way  to deal with failure is to learn from it and  move on….Treat it not as a personal setback, but as a learning opportunity. Do not look failures as GHOSTS.  View them as  MENTORS.

Entrust your dreams-—-Career or dreams without commitment will not last.

Exert effort, time and resources to fulfil your dreams..

Make an action plan and do something about it.

Define your dreams and make a short term goals to the fulfilment of that dreams and DO IT. Take necessary adjustments along the way.

Confirm on the following thoughts: I have what it takes; I can accomplish anything. I can rise above all obstacles. Believe in yourself. Think and speak positively about yourselfeveryday.

We obtain other benefits in attaining our goals, including the confidence to achieve on higher dreams. For me, it is  not only about the goal, but about the journey. We learn much along the way and gain happiness from doing what we love to do. Our journey takes on greater meaning and significance when we are able to help others on our way.

To pursue your dreams, here are some tips:

1. ASK GOD’S ASSISTANCE— Prayer helps strengthen our faith, that great things are possible to those who believe in HIM.

2. KNOW YOUR GOALS—–when your goals are specific, you know when and how to achieve them.

3. MAKE A GOOD PLAN—–think on how you can accomplish your goals, find the resources you need look for the persons who can help you and set a date on when you will start and finish.

4. TAKE ACTION—- plans do  ot accomplish goals. People executing plans accomplish goals.

          5. ENJOY DOING YOUR GOALS—- Laugh and learn as you go along.

6.GET HELP—- When I started teaching, I knew little  about the area I was assigned to. So I enrolled and took more units on related subjects. I consulted my former mentors who unselfishly helped and guided me along the way.
