Ridicule and sarcasm are especially offensive ways of criticizing. Oftentimes these are true among teachers. You can’t help to ridicule or embarrass your pupils for every mistake they’ve done. You get easily annoyed by their misbehavior. You can’t control your tongue to say humiliating words toward them thus they feel rejected and unloved that result to low self- esteem. They become slow in all aspect of learning areas thus failure occurred.
Furthermore here are the most common causes of low self- esteem that a teacher should be aware of:
- Bossing
- Threatening
- Criticizing
- Swearing
- Rejecting
- Backfighting
- Irritable
- Impatient
- Uncaring
- Unforgiving
