“A little progress every day adds up to big results”
Prior to the Implementation of the K 12 curriculum signed By the Outgoing President Aquino in 2013,
Our country Philippines, was the only country in Asia that still had only 10 years in basic Education.
This has been a disadvantage on our part especially in this fast phasing world that we are living, changes and progress must be made for our students to be more competitive in increasing global job market.
But the ending of the Aquino Administration, marks the start of a new Beginning in our Educational System as we welcomes the Senior High school. Indeed CHANGE is coming in our way.
K 12 Education offers tracks and strands that will surely help students be more globally competitive. Technical-Vocational-Livelihood in Particular, offers a wide variety of specialized subjects that they can apply for TESDA Certificates and Competency (COC’s) and National Certificates (NCs).Also, the Partnership made by DEPED with the different companies ensures us that the students will be well equipped and ready to join the workforce right away with the help of the electives offered. Students now could be absorbed in the field of work or venture into entrepreneurship if they opt not to go to college or provide them with better working opportunities.
On the other hand, Academic program is offered for those who wants to pursue higher education, this particular track prepares the students to be more collegiate ready, with the added years in their basic education, students who have trailed behind in areas of academe can now better prepared themselves before taking their tertiary level. Hence this track will help them reach their full potential.
Sports, Arts and design are offered to those who are inclined in the two fields. If the students haven’t decided with that to do or choose the path they are going to take such Track is offered. With this Students will have enough time to realize and develop their dreams and potentials.
With all this changes in our Educational System, Schools will now produce a holistic graduates that can compete globally, work ready, and Good abiding citizen of our Dear Country.
Some doubt the changes it however inevitable, and progress is impossible without change. We want to keep up the world we all must embrace it. It’s time to gear up and prepare ourselves to Progress and Bright Future ahead of us.
