Children are regarded as tomorrow’s people and the future movers of every nation. Even our great national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal is paused on the vital role that Filipino youths play as the “hope of fatherland.” As members of society, they are meant to be protected, loved and cared for. They also ought to enjoy their basic rights, such as to have a loving family, good education, healthy environment, among others. But why there are still children who do not get the life that they deserve?

One of the most serious problems around the world is child labor. Filipino children aged 5-17 are exposed to hazards in which some are into the worst forms of labor. Because of this, thousands of children are forced to stop schooling and choose to work hard instead of going to school. And also because of poverty many children do not have the chance to go to school and learn essential things that they can you in the future.

Every Filipino child has his own right. We need to respect and let them get it freely. Do not abuse them. Allow them go to school and learn something significant that can be used for their bright future and for our country’s progress.
