A child has her own strength and weaknesses. And I’m acknowledging ones weakness, a parent might resort to the help of a private tutor. Someone who will teach her chld the subject matters which he is a little weak.

When choosing for the right tutor, we should consider not only his work experience. We should not be shy on asking about personal questions. Because the more he has in common with the child, the more that the ‘teamwork’ will succeed. And do not discount the first impression, they are usually right. And of course, subject expertise is one of the things we should consider the most. Because the effectivity of teaching a child lies within the goodness of the heart and the expertise of the subject.

There are various kinds of tutor. One, there is a tutor who spoonfeeds a child. Someone who do all the assignments and reports of a child, and at the end of the day, the child still learns nothing. Why? Because he has become dependent to his tutor. He won’t bother thinking about his schoolworks because, of course, he has a tutor. The child learns nothing about the concept of the subject.

Second, there is a tutor who, by all means, teaches and coaches her pupil the right way. Teaches him how he should do this, and that. Someone who teaches the concept of the subject and asks his student to do his homework and checks it after. In that way, the child learns the his lessons. And somehow, he will be able to do his homeworks on his own without the help of a private tutor.

A good tutor is someone who can inspire and motivate a child while providing the tools he will need to succeed academically both now and the years to come. The right tutor is someone whose worth is more than what his resume states.
