Teachers consider behavioural problems as the most dangerous classroom inconvenience in the educational process. According to Owidat and Hamdi (1997), disorder, theft, vandalism, bullying are behavioural problems which threaten the entire educational process. Students exhibiting disruptive behaviour cause disciplinary problems in the classroom and have negative effect on other students. Such problems have direct impact on the teaching – learning process because they result to frequent absences, lack of attention, hyperactivity, disobedience, aggressiveness and refusal to do school tasks and works.
To address this school nuisance, teachers need to undertake counselling sessions with students having such problems. As extended parents, teachers need to trace the root of the problems. Home visitation can be beneficial as this allows the teacher to evaluate why and how a student behaves differently in school.
Sometimes, a misbehaving student only someone who can understand him fully and give the needed attention which he lacks at home. Being more of a friend than a teacher can make wonders. It is still more important to be an instrument of change. But remain cautious that everything has a limit.
