By fostering student understanding of the topics, teachers can help students gain knowledge and skills through collaboration that can be applied to a variety of situations, both inside and outside of the classroom despite of diverseness. As a teacher, we encounter students who have differences and similarities such as their backgrounds, experiences, identities, values, and perspective. Ensuring and forming meaningful relationships with them is essential.

It can be a complex and challenging topic to teach about horticulture and make them interested to understand. That is why I found a creative way to engage students in the material and make it relevant to their lives. I expose my students to diverse ideas, opinions, and feedback, and help them learn from each other. I help them to connect, build trust and establish more common goals. Collaboration and communication promote social and emotional skills such as respect, empathy, and perspective thinking.

When done effectively, it can lead to improved student outcomes and a more engaging and meaningful learning experience. I believe teachers who empower their students can help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
