The Learning Action Cell was created as a professional development project to assist teachers in using the 7ES Lesson Plan structure. The 7ES Lesson Plan is a cutting-edge strategy that combines seven crucial components – Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, Extend, and Empower – to produce educational experiences that are both memorable and fruitful for students. This collaborative platform will provide a venue for information exchange, introspection, and ongoing development of our instructional methodologies.
In understanding the 7ES Lesson Plan, the objective of the Learning Action Cell is to: Familiarize ourselves with the fundamental ideas and elements of the 7ES Lesson Plan framework; Sharing Best Practices by collaboratively sharing effective teaching techniques, resources, and innovative ideas that adhere to the 7ES model; Reflecting on Teaching Practices by engaging in reflective discussions to identify strengths, challenges, and areas for growth in our teaching practices; and Implementation and Evaluation: Implement the 7ES lesson plan into practice in our classrooms and assess how it affects students’ engagement and learning.
I learned more about each phase of the 7Es lesson plan framework during the session. Ms. Shanlyn G. Farin, MT I of the Natural Science Department from Olongapo City National High School, spoke about the need of grabbing students’ attention during the Engage phase, the value of engaging in hands-on activities during the Explore phase, and the significance of making concepts clear during the Explain phase. I also realized that while the Evaluate stage aids in gauging pupils’ learning progress, the Elaborate stage motivates them to apply their information.
We talked about and exchanged actual examples of how the 7Es framework may be used in our lessons. This made it easier for us to understand how versatile the technique is and how it can be modified to suit the particular requirements of other topics.
We highlighted specific areas for improvement as we collectively examined our 7Es lesson plan. One another received constructive criticism with an emphasis on clarity, compliance with learning goals, and the addition of more interactive components.
We identified specific places where our 7Es lesson plan could be improved as we collectively examined it. To improve clarity, conformity with learning objectives, and the inclusion of more interactive features, constructive criticism was given to one another.
We have acknowledged throughout the conversation certain implementation difficulties with the 7Es lesson plan. These included modifying the framework to take into account various learning styles and abilities as well as time and resource limitations. However, we came up with several feasible answers and alternate strategies to efficiently deal with these difficulties.
Learning Action Cell provided an excellent platform for career advancement. In working together and sharing ideas with colleagues who had diverse areas of expertise, we extended our viewpoints and discovered fresh perspectives on effective teaching techniques.
