Education is the key to success. It is a ladder to reach the dream of every child.

But how is quality education achieved?  Is it enough to bring the learner to a school and be assured that he will be given quality education?  This is the assumption of most parents. They leave everything to the school, not realizing their share in educating the child. To deliver quality education requires multi-aspect elements.

Different components to achieve quality education are as follows:

The learners. It is said that education is child – centred. The learners’ readiness, experiences, and health should be considered in quality learning. It is difficult for the child to learn if he is not ready. Child learns based on his experience.

The family. The support, encouragement and involvement of the family give a child a strong foundation for quality learning. It is the core where the child started to learn.

The teachers. Teachers should have adequate knowledge on the content of every subject areas and ready to impart what they have to the learners. He cannot give what he does not have.

The curriculum. It should fit the needs of the learners. It must be flexible, relevant to the needs of a child and easily to adopt.

The teacher-student ratio. It is also a big contributory factor to the delivery of quality learning. An over-burdened mentor with a big class-size is less effective than one whose class size is manageable.

The learning environment. A learning environment may be understood to be the complete physical, social and pedagogical context in which learning is intended to occur. It is more significant for quality education if it is conducive to learning. It can also be a combination of social and physical that created a classroom experience.

The learning materials. Availability and adequacy of learning materials are significant factors for quality learning considering the content knowledge and information for the learners.
