The traditional spoon-feeding is out in the educational system. The teachers are no longer employing the traditional lecture method.  The students became the center of learner and the teacher became the facilitator.

In the modern classroom setting, the learners are not just listening to the teachers and just receiving what they hear from them.  They learned to evolve and transform themselves into more active and independent individuals in the class.

What is more pleasing on the modern students now is that they do not just work on their own.  They are together working cooperatively for a common goal or purpose.  At a very young age, the teachers develop in them the value of cooperation.

Cooperative learning is the new trend in the teaching-learning process.  The learners are formed in groups.  In each group they work together…thinking, sharing and collaborating ideas to achieve a common objective.

Another advantage of cooperative learning in the field of education is no one is left behind. In their learning Barkada, they learn to care for the other and do not leave them unattended.  They work together as a group and learn to survive with the help of one another.

Cooperative learning is applicable in all subject areas in the field of education. All subjects may require the benefit being extracted from cooperative learning. 

Cooperative learning plays a vital role in the development and progress of the learners in reaching greater heights in their academic life.

Evidently, cooperative learning is an effective tool to lead the students to independently work together.  They are united in the attainment of their goals.  Besides,

they also enjoy the time of being together.

Indeed! Cooperative learning is truly advantageous.
