Stress is defined as a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances. From this, it will be easy for us to assume that the mental and emotional balance of an individual is at stake.

Stress according to medical perspective is also the reason behind the prevalent illnesses and sickness in our present time. In the past age groups and brackets regarding common ailments are easily detected about heart failures, diabetes, obesity and other diseases. Nowadays it becomes evident that sicknesses and ailments no longer consider age and group as primary target. It means that anybody affected by stress can suffer from the consequence of the pressures and tensions that bring about mental or emotional strain.

It is the logic why the hype on stress management comes zooming in on the importance of addressing stress. Many were told and spoken of about stress, but as days grew weary stress persists resulting to the anxiety of many. The treatment of stress varies from one person to another depending on the background and the range of stress needing the proper attention to be given on a case to case basis. Stress is compounded by anxieties over financial concerns, problems in relationships, disappointments, failures and regrets that are not overcome. When the thought of the negative experience stays for long and lingers repeatedly overtime stress becomes more burdensome.       

Being mindful of the negative effects of stress in our lives is one positive idea to start with.

Therefore, the inner self should be the one to act on it since the stress experienced by other people are not the same with the stress being felt by an individual affected by it. In order to have the upper hand in fighting stress to manage it, the character of an individual should be ready to face the challenge. Character involves the choices we made and from it we can improve on our as we commit to daily activities of life.

When positive mindset and emotional willingness is in a person, the readiness to combat stress is facilitated in a disciplined way. It brings to life a sense of self-care and being mindful of the right choices to overcome the hurried phase of life and help in lessening anxieties and worries.

Positive insights will help us to gain confidence along the course. We must remember that stress is to be managed by us and not the other way around. Keep track in spending time to meditation, it feeds the soul. Be mindful of the food we eat and not forget that we are what we eat. Make exercise part of our daily routine, even light ones will count for good body circulation. Sway away with too much time spent on social media and other activities that will take of our focus on the bouts with stress. Breath freely to release tension, walk, avoid junk foods and drink plenty of water. Do not sit too much, and avoid being engrossed with unproductive activities. Avoid fats, sweets, and too much salt. Most of all take enough sleep. They are the simple coping mechanisms to stress management.

Again, let not stress manage us rather, allow oneself to always keep it at manageable level. Take care of oneself and have a disposition in life. One of the most uplifting experience in life is to have a worry free day, let it be every day and call it freedom.
