CAREER Pathways in Technology and Livelihood Education (CP-TLE) has formally opened its gateway in skills development to first year students of Limay National High School. The selected students will represent the first batch of Metal Crafts and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) technologists. This Department, through Bureau of Secondary Education shall pilot test in 100 general high tech schools and Limay National High Schoolwas one of the Pilot Tests of the program.
The objective of the department is to primarily equip the students with full knowledge and proper manipulation of computers, electricity, metal works, electronics, handicrafts, beauty care, drafting, civil works, plant and crop production, clothing and textiles, auto-mechanics, and animal production business management designs and arts. Through this, students will be prepared to some eventualities such as dropping out of school due to financial constraints, students under the program will be able to compete and qualify themselves to the varied, vast and fast challenging world of futuristic technologies.
Prior to the implementation of the program (CP-TLE) the Department of Education launch a series of national seminars and training for the implementation of SEC (Secondary Education Curriculum) in order to build the capacity of schools to implement the program. The school heads, head teachers and teachers of Pilot schools together with Division Supervisors and Chief/Assistant chiefsof the secondary education have a series.
