A shadow that lurks through the darkness, cannot be seen, cannot be touched. This is how cyber bullying hunts its victim. It can harass people even if the target and the perpetrator are millions of miles away. In the same way, it holds a great influence to people especially to those who are frequently strolling through the web. Cyber bullying has claws that can tear the life of the people up to the point that they put an end to their own lives. It has been considered as one of the most serious and sensitive issues the world is facing right now. An issue that is rigorously being discussed by many government and non- government organizations yet it was never given any concrete solution. Although rules and laws have been passed and signed, but the fangs of implementation is too loose and too weak. Consequently, many are still suffering from the infectious threat of cyber bullying.

With the alarming cases of suicide and deaths due to cyber bullying, we must spread public awareness intensively about how cyber bullying can end the lives of many innocent people and how it will be stopped. In fact, social media is not the real cause of cyber bullying. It is only being used by people who do not know how to respect life. It becomes a medium for them to spread their malevolent act. On the other hand, social media users must be aware of their limitations in using these internet applications. We should be cognizant and rightful in our actions. Let us be more vigilant and responsible in our whereabouts. Keep your personal information privately.

Suppressing this issue may be a long road for us to take. However, if we act together and give value to human life and know how to respect humanity, sooner or later cyber bullying might be prevented, if not stopped. Henceforth, victims of bullying should not lose hope but instead learn to stand again and fight for your dignity and life.
