School heads, particularly school principals should know how to deal with teachers with attitude problems to be able to meet the mission and vision of education.

Indeed, it is a truism, that everyday we deal with people around us. So with the school principals who deal with teachers who posses positive attitudes. Likewise, school principals deal with teachers who posses negative attitudes. And these are what we call attitude problems.

Some of the attitude problems that school principals often encounter with teachers are:

  1. Arriving late to work and leaving early
  2. Taking for granted directions from their superior
  3. Showing difficulty in communicating with others
  4. Showing strange or exhibiting unusual behavior at work
  5. Criticizing superiors and co-workers and co-teachers
  6. Enjoying seeing co-teachers make mistakes

Indeed, school principals find it rather difficult to deal with their teachers with attitude problems as mentioned above.

When these situations arise, school principals have to practice patience, diplomacy and good rapport with their teachers who has attitude problems.
