The Philippines is a tropical country situated between the west Philippine Sea and the Pacific Ocean. An Archipelago, with plenty of supplies of underground water, and a half-year supply of rainwater, water is abundant. Although some period of drought occurs, the Philippines has a better opportunity to reach any body of water compared to other non-archipelagic countries in the tropics like the African Sahara.

Philippine schools under the Department of Education have a standard to follow regarding water access and sanitation. In some other remote places, water sanitation must be watched over. The occurrence of infectious diseases and water-borne diseases can be easily disseminated among the students when these bioforms are introduced among its end users.

Teachers are not only teaching about the importance of water but also the proper usage of water. The students are taught the relevance of water in agriculture, commercial, industrial, and residential as one of the primary commodities.

Some schools failed to provide students with clean and sanitary water due to the location they are situated in. In some remote places and island cities of the country where wells and other natural sources are still in use, there is a threat to the health of those who drink in them. The local government in these places may work together with national and international organizations providing humanitarian works and missions in digging wells and water sources for the people. Schools must provide students access to clean and sanitary water for drinking and other general purposes. The inability to provide these basic services to the stakeholders of the schools, especially among students is a problem that needs a quick solution. Water is a primary need for the human body, and clean and sanitary water is a must in every school.
