Enrolment starts from August 16 up to the opening of classes on September 13 for DepEd schools. Pursuant to the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan, the institution provides guidelines to ensure that the enrolment procedure will foster safety among the personnel and the stakeholders involved.
DepEd is using the Modified Learner Enrollment and Survey Forms (MLESF) to profile the enrollees. Due to the different quarantine classifications experienced in the country, DepEd assures the remote administration of enrolment in areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine and Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine. On the other hand, the rest of the country may conduct physical enrolment activities provided that the health protocol is strictly observed.
To be able to protect both the teachers and the parents from the threat of the CoVID19, DepEd has released contactless enrolment procedures. The parents can enroll their children thru dropbox placed at strategic points previously identified by the school with the assistance from the barangay. Also, digital copies of MLESF are made accessible to the parents via different online platforms. Previous advisers of the incoming Grades 1-6, 8-10 and 12 can contact the parents or vice versa. Furthermore, the schools provide contact details in which interested enrollees can reach for any related concerns.
DepEd extends the submission of the requirements for enrolment like birth certificate, school report card, and other pertinent documents until December 31, 2021 in recognition of the crisis the country is experiencing. Likewise, transmission of school records can be done between teachers or schools.
