Motivating our pupils to develop good study habits must be a great challenge to the teachers. In this modern world where children are greatly exposed in gadgets like celphones, notebooks, laptops and others, parents and teachers find it hard to encourage their kids to do their homework religiously and have a regular schedule in studying lessons. Much of their times were spent in front of computers.

For them to develop an effective way of studying, there is a need to inculcate the value of setting goals—that the aim of education is not merely to acquire knowledge but having a clear intention of enjoying the benefits of learning that can be used as guide in daily living. We also need to teach them how to develop a routine. They need to understand the importance of following a schedule of studying and allotting time to read their lessons and reviewing topics given in school.

To develop good study habits among pupils today, teachers need to be patient so that our children will fully know his duties and responsibilities in and out of the classroom.
