Classroom follows regular routine and patterns. Schedule, period assignment and some special activities are the old traditional way of teaching inside the room. Teachers could make changes for a better and easy learning. Expect teachers who have relied on the spoken work to suddenly switch to the use of not only print but also non-print instructional materials.
As years past by, man keep on searching, updating and developing materials that can be used in teaching. Self made charts, poster, textbooks, graphics, drawings or pictures are common aids used by the teachers. Today, all the tools mentioned are made more concrete, advanced and adapted to today’s generation.
Changes in teaching also include not only print instructional materials but also the use of “Media“. It includes film, filmstrips, television or beta video system and the media such as computer-assisted instruction program materials, remote-access retrieval system even CD or VCD. The invention of the following tools brought an enjoyable learning for the student. It appears to have merits and should not be minimized where has been a prior determination that each materials/stuff has something to contribute to the entire learning package. Educational radio programs particularly English lessons are now also aired in various radio stations on school days. Researches of the past two decades have verified the effectiveness of these modern tools otherwise known as educational instruction. New age will never stop studying, searching, developing, inventing more materials that can help us teaching our youth even if it is print or non-print instructional materials.
