Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) offers a limitless and valuable tool to a promising educational system. ICT is proven to have a significant effect in the efficient and effective delivery of educational processes.
Our 21st century teachers in the Philippines already embraced the potentials of these technologies and becoming experts in utilizing them for daily preparation of lessons, accomplishing reports, online encoding and reporting. ICT allows faster delivery of exchange in a variety of educational works including virtual education and in strengthening the collaboration between teacher-pupils, teacher-parents, pupil-pupil, school head- teachers and the like. ICT caters various modalities where more people are being involved and interacting with greater numbers of citizens in a shorter time possible. It opens up access to information resources on education and utilizes the uses of online educational games, assessment and recording. It is indispensable in realizing the new information educational system.
Education must continue amidst the pandemic. That is what we are facing right now and no other efficient avenue but to use the ICT’s best feature, utilizing appropriate and easy to manage platforms for educational pursuit. The resiliency among Filipinos are quite visible nowadays. Administrators, teachers, parents and pupils are on their way to an upgraded educational modality wherein even our less privileged learners try their best to cope up also through the help of LGU, private partners and together with DepEd, joining hand and hand to make this promising learning modalities successful in bringing education to all the learners’ households.
In the Schools Division of Balanga, we are much privileged with LGU who granted selected pupils to receive Free Tablet and OTG devices in support of the Digital Modular Distance Learning Modality. It aims to lessen the burden of printing which requires much time, effort and paper in delivering education on the part of the teachers. It is also designed to help learners in accessing efficiently to their lessons using their all time favorite gadgets thus increasing their interests and directs towards self-paced learning because they will already take responsibility of their learning materials. Another milestone for ICT will be expected in the years ahead.
Our Schools Division conducts continuous trainings and workshops on various online and offline platforms like Microsoft Office, Zzish and Quizalize, Google Apps, Kotobee, Video Making Apps,etc.that aims to equip our teaching and non-teaching staff in becoming IT advocates specially in this time of new normal education. It helps not only the teacher but it benefits the learners who will receive a quality remote learning instruction to aid the absence of face to face encounter.
