Discipline is one of the pivotal roles in the holistic development of a child, as parents we want only what is best for our children. In today’s world many expectations are being encountered by every child regarding what’ hot and what’s not especially if we are addressing the norms of the society. Several observation and studies suggest that parents want to ensure that their young child will be respectful of the adults and elders but everything I understand about discipline involves an internal ability to make conscious choices about one’s action. Here are ten indicators that will be very useful in giving discipline.

 Discipline tips:

  1.    Set your objectives –know exactly your child’s behavior the good point and the          unpleasant one..
  2. Carry out rules and regulations – young minds will not fully understand the meaning of words unless we explain it on their level.

3        .Be fair – kids will understand your expectations if it seems to be justified.

4 .Be consistent – we had a saying that goes “say what you mean and mean what you        say…stick to your words.

5        .Let natural consequences help you. – Does the consequence relate to the misbehavior? Is the enforcement respectful of your child? Is it reasonable to you and to your child?

6        Make an exceptional standard – flaunt the problem you want to solve and handle routines together with your child.

          7.  Let him takes responsibilities. – small activities will boost the child his sense of being           independent .Let him understand that whatever decision he will choose , he will be accountable for it.

           8. Be a role model to your child – use your authority to show them pleasant manners.  Bear in mind   that a child is a good follower if you are a good leader.

  9. Respect your child’s personality and autonomy as a total person – paying closely to his interest and thoughts will lead to an open relationship between you and your child .Talk to him constantly.

           10. Love your child – show him that you care always even if you are not around. Remember that your presence makes sense but your golden rules will always make him a better individual.
