In the modern world of education, the task to deliver a quality of learning at distance education run into challenges from the educators. This type of education has gained its growing popularity with the development of the Internet, as students can simply communicate with their teachers and exchange materials over the net so that children will not be exposed to the so called COVID-19 virus.
There are some important factors that need to be considered in implementing distance learning though it has a lot of benefits that make it really a strong and prospective competitor against a traditional education. Nevertheless, looking back at the strategies and best practices in delivering educational services during face-to-face learning is needed in order to discover what ideas are still suited to the new normal way of education.
At distance learning, teachers must have knowledge on how to connect not only to the learners but also to their families and their community as well. Though sometimes it is quite ambiguous as on the one hand, it truly has a lot of benefits for students and can solve many educational problems in the future.
It is said that distance learning is useful for all learners because they can study at their own place, with flexible schedules. However, in utilizing the kind of alternative delivery modality that they have chosen should be coupled with time restrictions and rules. Let us remember that our purpose in implementing distance education is to serve children with best of education available amid pandemic situations.
