“The roots of education are bitter but the fruit is sweet.” – Aristotle
A very popular quotation yet very true especially today that we are facing this pandemic. Education must continue no matter how difficult the situation is. The Department of Education implemented new ways, approaches, and strategies to recommence the SY 2020-2021 on October 05, 2020.
Beforehand, teachers attended various seminars on how to effectively deliver the Online Classes and the Modular Distance Learning. They also developed all the Learning Packets needed like creating Modules and Activity Sheets per learning area. They also printed the Weekly Home Learning Plan, Reading Materials and Booklets.
Teachers also assisted the parents and pupils on the new normal of Education. Several orientations were made to properly guide the parents and pupils on the distribution and retrieval of learning packets. Mrs. Agnes O. Magdalera, the school principal recommended that the distribution and retrieval must be done every Friday and Saturday to minimize the parents who will get their children’s learning packets and must observe social distancing and other health protocols to keep everybody safe. Teachers also tap their parents to volunteer who could be the Focal Persons for each section for easier distribution and retrieval. At first it was challenging but then with the cooperation of the parents it helped the teachers a lot in sending the Learning Packets.
