Diversity of learners includes different area that teachers must be aware of and be sensitive if they want to cater each learner’s needs and interest. It is important to consider how diverse learners are especially in planning for effective instructions.

 

Learners should be encouraged to share personal history and experiences. Aside from highlighting diversity, adapt to the students’ diverse backgrounds and learning styles by allowing them personal choice and decision-making opportunities concerning what they learn and how will they learn from it,

 

Purposely, teachers could have diversity of assessing and evaluating student learning by forming small-discussion group of students from diverse background, different learning styles, multiple intelligences, and others.

 

Students learn more when they are challenge by teachers who have high expectations for them, encourage them to identify problems, involve them in collaborative activities, and accelerate their learning. Teachers, who believe that their students have the ability to succeed, involve young people in problem-solving activities.

 

Students tend to participate and do their best when teacher is nurturing and caring. We want academic achievements but we will not achieve even that unless our children believe they themselves are cared for and learn to care for others.
