In the recent election day, in an episode of 24 oras of the GMA Network, a segment aired was all about the first ever transgender representative in the person of Congresswoman-elect Geraldine Roman of the 1st District of Bataan.
It is indeed true that our conservative society has not yet completely accepted the LGBT concept. But, the rise of this first transgender representative elect will leave us the lesson that sexuality is not a hindrance or an issue to be able to give service to other people. This case will tell us to give chance to the members of the LGBT to prove themselves.
Though they are not yet completely accepted by our society, humans as we are who are equal in dignity, should not judge, instead, is give respect to them especially that at the end it will not be between you and them, but it will be between them and our Creator.
