We live in an era where the use of computers are very rampant. Information and Communication Technology sets as a new requirement to the digital world.  Mostly, Generation Z really adapt to it. They are the new generation that make the cyber world their play pen area. But the BIG question, are we READY?  Yes, of course… we should.

Some of the traditional teachers really rely on chalk and blackboard, using of cartolina, but as of today it is considered as obsolete. Many students may find it boring. The old books are replaced with new one as tablets or IPADs. Computation of grades are very easy today, in just click away, you got the result. Teaching strategies enhance through the use of laptop, making power point presentation, videos or Microsoft excel for different computations and formulas.

Should we take the advancement of technology a hindrance for learning because of many computer game application such as COC or even Facebook? Should it be a huge problem to us? The answer is NO! Globalization happened to fast, we cannot stop it. The only way we can do is to accept CHANGE. High technology gadgets or devices serve as a tool and not as an obstruction for learning. We need to accept the fact, swap the old ones and embrace the new technology as a requirement for new learning.

Advancement of education should not focusses only for the construction of new buildings, equipment or reprinting of books but also in investing for electronic learning so that we can compete globally. Even though, we like it or not E-Learning is coming. We need to adapt…if we don’t, we remove half of our student’s future.
