According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, Economics is a social science concerned chiefly with description and analysis of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. And so with the definition given, we can come up to the idea that all of us need economic thinking to properly manage our everyday living. Every living individual should learn to manage their funds and assets so as to contribute to our environment and society.

In k-12 curriculum being implemented, senior high school department is offering a subject of Economics in every track. And one thing that we are certain about it is that learning Economics is very essential because it necessitates us to become a good steward in our planet.

Economics is important for many areas of society. It can help improve living standards and make society a better place to live in. Economics is like a branch of science in that it can be used to improve living standards and also to make things worse. It partly depends on the priorities of society and what we consider most important. The big challenge is that the betterment of those younger generations are in our hands, the teachers,  we can make them, or break them. Why?

Teachers has the influence to their learners on how they can be wise and properly manage their resources well. Let us just work towards the teaching of economics efficiently and effectively.
