It is said that the current generation is quite hard to deal with most especially in teaching them because their focus in not so much in education but with various things in modern technology like gadgets and social network, but as a teacher I consider it as a great challenge and opportunity.
Here are the means in leading them to fully realize the value of education that will someday yield them a brighter future.
Initially, tell them and make them feel the importance of education. Orienting them that education will be their instrument or weapon in reaching their dreams will be a great step to persuade them to embrace education.
Then, give your best to them. They deserve to have quality education. Teach them well and let them learn all the things which will make them developed and progressive. For sure they will thank you for the knowledge and skills you will bestow on them.
Eventually, let them spread their wings. It means that give them the chance to show what they are by letting them express what they think and feel. Let them show their innate talents and intelligences for them to shine and to have fulfillment.
Also, appreciate their abilities. The recognition of their assets as learners will be accommodating on their part. They need to be praised for them to develop their self-esteem.
Moreover, teach them the value of respect for others. By means of this they will be able to remove selfishness and envy towards other. This will help them develop a positive outlook in life and a good perception to the world.
In addition, let them build love for others and for the country. Having taught the love for the people around will be a good value that someone could possess.
Educating the youth of today is not only instilling knowledge within the learner but also teaching them to improve the other components of their individualities and other aspects of their life. Also, they are made to realize not only to give importance to themselves alone but also to others as well.
The great responsibility of educating the learners will be made possible through the hands of the real educators… the teachers.
