Academic plays an important and integral role in our learning career. Parents are very eager to send their children to educational institution. For them, devoting ample time in studying will help their children reach the peak of success. However, formal education can be very expensive from some parents that it can inhibit them from providing good education for their children

Academic as a component of education is side by side extracurricular activities –to make a student development as holistic. Participation in extracurricular activities equally gives a great impact on student’s success. Schools are offering a wide variety of activities such as intramurals, scouting, and even joining clubs like dance, choir and drama club that students can participate in.

 Extracurricular activities are indeed a productive way in developing a healthy and socially-skilled student. Besides from being a fun and great way to socialize with peers, these activities help boost self-esteem.   There are some that feel uninteresting or that there is nothing they are good at. Such activities provide them  a way where they can get involved in something that they can be good at, helping them to boost their self-esteem. It also helps them to nurture and enhance their hidden talents and abilities. Student can also benefit from developing their characters which includes time management and prioritization. It is a great way to balance knowledge, skills and characters, isn’t it?

Numerous schools are granting well-deserved students who excel in extracurricular activities. They provide students scholarship and allowance as well for those who compete and showcase their abilities. What a pleasing benefit for the students, right?

We are hoping that the importance of engaging on extracurricular activities will be given due attention.
