The goals of a well-rounded primary education are concise: to ensure that the young student is capable of completing set tasks in reading, writing, and mathematics. However, there is another main goal which is often overlooked: to ensure that the young student is capable of thinking. This might seem self-evident, yet students who later finish high school and begin college are quickly separated into those capable of complex problem solving, and those needing an introduction to the skills required for research, lateral thinking, and self-guided learning.

Education is a rope that can carry us to greatness. It is one of the most important things in life because without education you can’t contribute to the world or earn money, and lack knowledge. Knowledge is power, so when you know what you can do, you can go that mile further.

At its most basic level, education is important because it gives people the baseline skills to survive as adults in the world. These skills include basic literacy and numeracy, as well as the ability to communicate, complete tasks and work with others. Education is essential for nearly every type of job or career, and in many cases, education makes the difference between being able to perform a job safely and accurately and being unable to perform a job at all.

Alberta Journal of Educational Research, v55 n1 p124-136 Spr 2009 tells about the effect of education in life that,

The study of life satisfaction of diverse countries is becoming increasingly important. Studies have shown that people who are satisfied with their lives are positive about other aspects of their lives such as their health. So it is important to examine the factors that can lead to life satisfaction. This study examines the relationships between education and life satisfaction across countries. Thirty-five countries are included in the study; the results show that life satisfaction is higher in countries where people have more education. Years of education are predicted by enrollment rates at the secondary and tertiary levels. Based on the findings of this study, educators and policy-makers should encourage people to continue their education.
