Education is the foundation for better future. It is the answer to alleviate a person from poverty. Successful individuals credited educational attainments. I can still recall when my mother told education is the only gem that cannot be stolen. Any knowledge that you acquired belongs solely to you. No one take it away from you.

Poverty is very common in the Philippines and the government is blaming so many factors that may have caused it. Besides the rampant corruption, the other reason for poverty is lack of education. The government, however, recognized the needs and have created a program for comprehensive education system. This is a proof that education is essential to anyone.

The importance of education is something that cannot be ignored and should be given priority by the state. A good education system indicates a good governance. Human empowerment means improved intellectual and physical skills that made up the labor force that is essential to sustain economic growth and stability. Good governance means logical and sound decision making, steady relationship with government will have to government aimed to become a better nation. Education is empowering the main asset of the country…its people.
