It is a complicated job because it involves managerial fuinctions such as planning, organizing, directing and controlling the various activities in the school.

 

Factors on how Principal’s Office Management be Effective:

 

 

  1. Office Building /Room and Facilities
    1. Ventilation-natural or technological
    2. Lighting-natural not impeded
    3. Layout – arrangement of equipment and other physical components with the floor space.
    4. Water Facilities – for washing and drinking
    5. Comfort room – clean and sanitary

 

  1. Equipment and Furniture
    1. Work Machines ex. photocopy machine, laptop
    2. Appliance ex. Electric fan, television set, radio, air conditioners, DVD/VCD player
    3. Tables and chair
    4. Filing Shelves / cabinet – -should be adequate and called as the memory of an office because they preserve and store information.

    1. Job Effectiveness – includes description of duties and responsibilities
    2. Competence – Includes educational qualifications and training
    3. Organizational Climate – favorable when smooth inter personal relationship is maintained unfavorable when there’s no cooperation and assistance from subordinates
