Since the Department of Education is aiming for high quality education, it is expected that its personnel are also being efficient and effective in their respective jobs.
The efficiency of the personnel is manifested in the way they perform their respective duties and responsibilities. There are instances wherein a DepEd personnel may exhibit seriousness in the profession and that is being efficient.
One instance of being efficient is the way you accommodate and deal with people. Greet them with a great smile once they come to your office and then attend to their needs and serve them well. Another way of achieving efficiency is by being systematic in handling office files, records and other pertinent documents. The personnel should observe accuracy and veracity in handling information in order to be systematic in the job.
Moreover, efficient personnel are those who are able to cope with the challenges and problems encountered in the job. Once you are able to resolve everything with calmness and tact then you are proven efficient. Another proof of efficiency is that you are willing to help others most especially in times of the needs of others. In this way you are not being of help but you are being humane.
Effectiveness is also much expected from DepEd personnel. Being effective is being successful in your job. You have to produce better outputs as the fruits of your labor and effort. As a worker in this agency, you should have served a lot of people. Once the people expressed they affirmation on what you did, then you already have a vast accomplishment. Once you are felt by people for the good things you did for them then you are effective.
Efficiency and effectiveness are essential among the DepEd personnel. Furthermore, a lot of transactions lie on them and therefore being an efficient and effective worker is a must.
Try to be as efficient and effective as possible in order to be a true employee. Always do your best and also think that you are a significant person who has a major role to perform.
